ISO 50001:2018
Certification ISO 50001 – Energy
Improving energy performance measurably.
What the standard is
ISO 50001:2018 — Energy management systems – Requirements with guidance for use
ISO 50001:2018 specifies requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining and improving an energy management system (EnMS), with the aim of continually improving energy performance, including energy efficiency, use and consumption.
The standard requires analysing energy use and consumption, identifying significant energy uses, defining energy performance indicators (EnPIs) and a baseline, and planning improvement actions based on measured data.
It applies to all kinds of organisations: light to medium industry (clothing, consumer electronics, home appliances, furniture, plastics, speciality chemicals, food processing, water treatment), heavy industry (chemicals, steel and metals, oil refining, shipbuilding, pulp and paper, machinery, semiconductors, cement and ceramics), buildings (offices, lodging, retail, warehouses) and mining.
Availability and accredited scope for each standard and sector are confirmed in the offer.
